Our Philosophy
Our mission is to To equip and empower todays youth with foreign language skills that will enable them to connect, function and compete in a global society. The emerging global society demands that we bridge gaps by learning languages other than our own. Lingual Kids is actively preparing todays students for tomorrow's challenges.
Lingual Kids seeks to create an appreciation of cultural diversity, incorporate literacy-rich and age-appropriate themes, engage active learners with exploratory, dynamic and
participatory activities.
At the same time, students benefit by gaining a greater sense of global community, a competitive edge in the future global marketplace, enhanced cognitive reasoning and qualitative skills, as well as expanded active communication skills.
Our
Director
Terra Baker-Trofort, director and founder of Lingual Kids, is a graduate of Florida State University where she received her BA in Spanish. Her commitment to education began as a sophomore in high school when she volunteered at Ascension Lutheran Church School in Los Angeles, CA teaching Spanish to kindergarten students.
Her love for language and children grew throughout college and inspired her to traavel abroad and volunteer in her local community as an Adult ESL teacher. She has served in the classroom in Florida, California and Georgia. Her zeal to equip and impact the lives of children led her to the creation of Lingual Kids.
Our Team
At Lingual Kids, we only hire qualified instructors to teach our classes.
